1. Advantages of Full Chisel .404'' Saw Chain in Wood Cutting
(1) Efficient Cutting Performance
The full chisel tooth design (right or sharp cutting edge) can quickly cut into the wood, especially suitable for cutting hardwood or large diameter wood. Its cutting efficiency is significantly higher than that of the semi chisel chain. In heavy-duty operations, the .404'' pitch (about 10.3mm) provides greater tensile resistance and durability, suitable for industrial-grade chainsaws.
(2) High stability and load-bearing capacity
.404'' pitch chains have more drive links (such as 80 drive links), and with thick guide plates (such as 0.063'' gauge), they can reduce vibration and chain skipping risks during cutting, especially for long-term operations.
(3) Adaptability to extreme working conditions
The full chisel design is not easy to stick when cutting wood with high resin content (such as pine).
(4) Industrial-grade compatibility
This specification of saw chain is suitable for most heavy-duty gasoline chain saws (such as 52cc-82cc models), and supports OEM customization. Parameters can be adjusted according to the guide length (such as 24 inches) and power requirements.
2. Key maintenance points
(1) Regular cleaning and lubrication
After using, use a wire brush to remove wood chips and resin on the saw chain, and apply anti-rust oil to prevent the chain from rusting.
(2) Adjustment of tension
When the machine is cold, the chain should be close to the lower part of the guide plate but can be moved manually; it needs to be rechecked after the machine is heated to prevent looseness or chain jumping due to thermal expansion. The new chain needs to be run-in for 2-3 minutes before adjusting the tension.
(3) Maintenance of saw teeth
Check the wear of the saw teeth regularly and use professional grinding tools to maintain a uniform angle (to avoid uneven cutting). It is difficult to repair the full-chisel type saw teeth after wear. Severe wear requires timely replacement of the chain.
(4) Storage and environmental management
When storing for a long time, the chain needs to be cleaned and oiled, and placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid humidity or high temperature. If using bio-lubricant, fill the tank to prevent oxidation.
(5) Safety operating specifications
Avoid continuous overload work and stop the machine for cooling appropriately to extend the service life. Turn off the engine and wear protective gloves during maintenance to prevent accidental start-up.
