How to properly install and maintain .325'' Full Chisel Saw Chain?

Installation steps

1. Check compatibility:
Before installation, confirm that .325'' Full Chisel Saw Chain is compatible with your chain saw model and specifications.

Check whether the guide bar size and tooth height of the chain saw match the saw chain, usually 0.050'' or 0.058'' tooth height.

2. Prepare tools:
Prepare the required tools and accessories, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, chain saw tensioners, etc.

3. Install the saw chain:
According to the instructions of the chain saw, wrap the saw chain around the guide bar, making sure that the links of the saw chain are aligned with the tooth grooves on the guide bar.

Pay attention to the direction of the saw chain and make sure that the cutting teeth on the saw chain are facing the correct direction.

4. Adjust the tension:
Use the chain saw tensioner or adjustment device to adjust the tension of the saw chain. Too tight or too loose may affect the performance and life of the saw chain.

Usually, the saw chain should have a certain amount of slack so that it can move freely when cutting.

5. Test operation:
Start the chain saw in a safe environment and test the operation of the saw chain.
Observe whether the saw chain runs smoothly and whether there is any abnormal noise or vibration.

Maintenance steps
1. Cleaning:
After each use of the chain saw, the saw chain and guide bar should be cleaned to remove impurities such as wood chips and oil.
Use a soft cloth or brush to remove dust and dirt on the chain saw to avoid affecting the cutting performance and life of the saw chain.
2. Lubrication:
Regularly add an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to the saw chain and guide bar to reduce friction and wear.
Check and add lubricating oil at regular intervals (such as before each use or after several hours of use) according to the use.
3. Check wear:
Regularly check the wear of the saw chain, especially the wear of the cutting teeth and chain links.
If the saw chain is found to be severely worn or damaged, it should be replaced with a new one in time.
4. Storage:
When the chain saw is not in use, it should be stored in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight and humid environments.
When not in use for a long time, it is recommended to remove the saw chain from the chain saw and store it properly.
